Our artisanal gelato is made without preservatives or emulsifiers, so one cannot expect the same shelf life of regular ice cream. However, you can prolong storage with these tips!
Keep your gelato or ice cream in your freezer at a steady temperature at all time. The lower the temperature the longer it will last.
Store the gelato at the back portion of your freezer. Whenever you open the door of your freezer, you are letting warm air in. This causes the gelato to melt and refreeze, causing ice crystals to form and ruin the texture.
Do not let the gelato melt on your countertop (or don't wait too long), just scoop what you need right out of the freezer then place it right back in there. You'll need a strong, metal scooper for this!
Oh you generous soul! We can deliver an order with a gift receipt, but you’ll want to make sure that the recipient is going to be home to open the package and put the contents in the freezer.

The warmer it gets, the more flavourful and creamier it tastes. It’s always hard to wait, but the closer you can bring your scoop of gelato to the ideal serving temperature of -10ºC, the better your experience will be.

Sorbet is a frozen dessert made up of just fruit purée (or fruit juice, like lemon juice) and sweetener (commonly sugar, simple syrup, or liqueur).
Sorbet is dairy-free and suitable for vegans! Sorbet was originally used as a palate cleanser between courses of large meals, and its first use as a dessert came about in French cafes in the seventeenth century.
Sorbet is traditionally served at similar warmer temperatures to gelato to keep it soft enough to eat. Warmer temperatures mean its flavour comes across much richer than ice cream.
